Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC other fighter, is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sporting career as a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina kept her winning streak going by taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia, who began her career as a professional in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also held in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas in her fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut took place in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She won the fight in the second round by TKO and also won her subsequent 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and returned to the ring in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. Antonina was offered a UFC deal following her win. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi in an unanimous decision. But, she fell in her second fight due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina recovered from her defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski but she also defeated Ariane.
